The Wild side of Life offers a wide range of plant and mushroom ID courses, foraging courses and fungi safaris ranging from absolute beginner to advanced level and including custom courses (usually arranged 6 to 9 months in advance).

You can browse our regularly scheduled award winning courses and membership programs, including our Mushroom Discovery Experiences (New Forest, Berkshire & Chilterns), Themed Spring Foraging Days, Spring & Summer Forager’s Club (Wiltshire) ,The Secret Sunday Mushroom Club / Wiltshire Fungus Group (Wiltshire / New Forest) and Seashore Foraging courses that take place in the spring (North Devon and The Gower Peninsula), by clicking on the items in the menu, or you can enquire about creating a custom course to suit your own group or needs (please note, we generally require at least 6 months notice to get a bespoke course in the diary).

We also run a range of 2 day courses exploring herbal medicine and integrative medicine themes such as; Herbal First Aid, Immune Health, and Medicinal Mushrooms. In addition, The Wild Side of Life is the host to the UK & Ireland Medicinal Mushrooms Conference every year, and runs practitioner training for healthcare professionals in the use of medicinal mushrooms, with our very successful course Exploring the Healing Potential of Medicinal Mushrooms, which is the recognised route for gaining access to membership of the UK & Ireland Mycotherapy Practitioners Register.
